Getting started
Do I need to create an account?
No. LittleGuest doesn't use accounts or logins. You just download the app and start adding parties. All your data stays on your device.
Is LittleGuest free?
Yes. The app is free to download, and manually adding parties is unlimited and free forever. Premium ($2.99/mo) adds AI invite scanning beyond the free trial, calendar sync, and smart reminders.
How many kids can I add?
Up to 6 children, each with their own color, so you can tell at a glance who's invited where.
AI invite scanning
How does AI scanning work?
Snap a photo of a paper invite or paste an invite link, and LittleGuest reads the details (who's turning what age, the party date, and the RSVP deadline) and drops them into a form for you to review before saving. Nothing saves without your OK.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
Every field it fills in is editable, and it never guesses which of your kids was invited. You always confirm that yourself. If it misses entirely, you can just fill the form in by hand.
How many free AI scans do I get?
3 total on the free plan. Premium gets you 20 a month. Any free scans you hadn't used yet get added on top when you upgrade, so you don't lose them.
What happens when I run out of scans?
You can always add a party manually. That never counts against your scan limit. Premium's scan count resets each billing cycle.
I need more than 20 scans a month. Can you raise the limit?
Please send an email to feedback@littleguestapp.com to let us know. We'll see what we can do.
Is it safe to send a photo of the invite?
The photo or link is sent securely for processing and isn't kept afterward. It's used once to extract the details, then discarded on our end.
What happens if I try to scan a spam or suspicious invite link?
If the link requires a login, LittleGuest won't try to sign in on your behalf. It'll ask you to upload a screenshot instead, and if the link looks like it's impersonating a known invite platform, it'll flag that explicitly so you can double-check with whoever sent it before opening it.
I want to keep a reference of the invite link or screenshot I uploaded. Is that possible?
Yes. The image and the link are saved on your party's detail page, right on your device. We never keep a copy on our end.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, not in the cloud. LittleGuest doesn't have a database of user accounts. Your kids' names and party details live in local storage on your device.
Does LittleGuest sync across devices?
Not automatically, since there's no account to sync through. You can export a backup and import it on another device if you switch phones.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All locally stored data is permanently deleted. Export a backup first if you want to keep it (Settings → Backup).
I'm hesitant to enter my child's invite details. Could this information be intercepted?
We get it, and we built LittleGuest with that in mind. There's no central database of user data to breach: your kids' names and party details live only in local storage on your device, not on our servers. The one exception is AI invite scanning, where the photo or link you submit is sent securely for processing and then discarded, never stored on our end. Nothing here is stored in a way that puts your family's data alongside everyone else's in one place for anyone to target.
Premium
What do I get with Premium?
20 AI scans a month, calendar sync, RSVP and gift reminders, and invite sharing without the LittleGuest watermark.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, through your Apple or Google account subscription settings. No need to contact us.
Using the app
Does LittleGuest keep a history of past parties?
No. Once a party's date has passed, it's automatically cleared from your list to keep things focused on what's coming up.
What is the Action Items page, and how do I get there?
Tap the bell icon in the header, or the orange banner when it says parties need attention. From there you can filter by "this week" or "all," and parties are grouped by what's still needed: RSVP, gift, or both.
What's the badge count on the app icon?
It's how many things need your attention in the next 5 days: an RSVP that's due, or a party coming up where you haven't bought a gift yet.
What do the icons under the invitee's name mean?
A quick-glance summary of what's attached to that party: a camera icon means you saved the invite photo, a lightbulb means you've noted a gift idea, a notebook means you've added notes, and a link icon means the original invite link is saved.
My child isn't going to a party but I still want to track it. Can I do that?
Yes. There's a "not attending" option in the party's details. The party stays in your list but shows as declined, so it's a visual reminder that you already RSVP'd no.
What happens if I delete a child who has invites linked to them?
If a party was only for that child, it's deleted along with them. If the party was shared with another child you still have, it stays, just without that child attached.
I have multiple calendar accounts. Which one gets the event?
You pick the calendar each time you push an event, or set a default in Settings so it's selected automatically.
When I push to my calendar, will the time and location fill in automatically?
Yes. If you've set a time and location on the party, they carry over to both iOS and Android calendars.
What information gets shared when I push to my calendar or share the event?
Everything except the invite photo: date, location, your RSVP and gift status, notes, and so on.
Do I have to switch between light and dark mode myself?
You can, or set it to System in Settings and it'll follow your device's setting automatically.
About
I love this app! Did the creator make any other apps?
LittleGuest is made by Spontandom Studio. They've got something bigger in the works, more to come.
